2023-01-01
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released its latest GDP forecasts for China, predicting a growth rate of 5.2% for the year 2023 and 4.5% for the year 2024. These forecasts are identical to the previous IMF forecasts released on the same date. This forecast is in line with other sources that predict moderate economic growth for China. Oxford Economics expects China's GDP to expand at a similar rate of 5.3% in 2023 and 4.9% in 2024. The World Bank, on the other hand, forecasts a slightly lower growth rate of 5.1% for China in 2023 and 4.4% in 2024. Overall, the IMF's latest GDP forecasts for China show a relatively stable outlook for the country's economic growth in the next few years.
